My fundamental theme is existence — and non-existence.
I have pursued this theme through "line," using wire and thread, and through "point," in pencil drawings where the particles of graphite remain visible. Polytope is the next step: an approach through "plane."
This series originally began as an attempt to build paper models and photograph them. But partly because another artist had already established that very method, I set the project aside.
Later, I encountered Blender and restarted the series. At first I worked with materials, partly for the pleasure of learning the software — until I realized that color was disturbing the theme, when what I was trying to express through planes was existence itself.
In this work, I suppress color and focus on the form and the undulations of its surface. From here, I am trying to find my way forward again.
